For the first time in over twenty years, the International Dyslexia Association has released an updated dyslexia definition that reflects major advances in reading and language research. This new guidance will impact how districts identify students, design MTSS frameworks, train staff, and align with state policy. District leaders can use the updated dyslexia definition to strengthen literacy systems and ensure equitable, accurate support for all learners.
